ONEiTY began as a way for small producers and artisans in challenging parts of the world to have access to our markets. We thought the best way to accomplish this would be through a retail store, selling their products directly to consumers, while providing a way for the customer to help them in return. Now that we have started on this path, we have identified better and more efficient ways to accomplish this without running our own retail store. So we are closing one door in order to open another.
Starting Monday, August 11th, we will start clearing out all of our inventory, including our new Fall items. Everything in the store will be 50 - 75% off our retail prices. We will also be selling some of the items on-line at the same discounts.
Friday August 22nd, will be our last day at 4010 South 2700 East in Holladay, Utah.
Thank you for all your encouragement and support and for believing in ONEiTY and its purpose. We will be excited to let you know about our new direction at a later date.

Calling all Hosts and Hostesses
School is drawing to a close and kiddos will soon be romping around everywhere. So, we thought we'd follow suit, and do a little roaming of our own. Especially since so many of you don't live so close to us.
ONEiTY is looking to hold hosted sales this June, July and August. We'll bring ONEiTY to you---anywhere in the U.S.A. We'll setup and takedown, we'll provide mailers for invitees, and you'll walk away with 10% of the earnings in ONEiTY credit.
Interested in hosting a ONEiTY sale? Send an e-mail to info@oneitygoods.com with "hosted sale" in the subject line. We hope to hear from you soon.

ONEiTY-Away: Help Us Out!

As we all know, bad things sometimes happen to good people. Last week, five armed men entered the workshop of our friends in Madagascar and stole everything in sight---computer, printer, equipment and cash included. As you can probably imagine, bouncing back from theft like this in a place like Madagascar is no small task.

Here's the deal: Every single dollar spent at the ONEiTY store during these three days (May 27, 28, and 29) will be sent directly to Madagascar. And every person to make a donation in the sidebar or make a purchase at the ONEiTY store will have his/her name entered into a drawing for awesome prizes like prints from Sarah Jane Studios and Fall Down Tree; customized alphabet letter blocks from Hiccup; a dozen cupcakes from So Cupcake ... and the big, grandaddy, number one stunner:
A Year of Free Clothes from ONEiTY!
So be sure to stop by next week. We can't wait to see you. Our friends in Madagascar can't wait, either!
And if you live out-of-state but still want to lend a hand, remember to click on the "make a donation" link in the sidebar. A donation of even $5 or $10 can make a huge difference, plus, you could win all those goodies.

ONEiTY-Away: Magnolia Bakery
What do you think of when you think of NYC? The shoe display at Saks? The top of the Chrysler Building? Pizza under the Brooklyn Bridge? Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery??? Yes, puh-lease.
ONEiTY flew off and away to the Big Apple for the week, and we want to bring a little Manhattan back for one of our local customers. For a field trip, we'll also be checking out the Etsy Labs in Brooklyn.
So, you tell us your favorite Etsy seller, and we'll give you some cupcakes straight from Magnolia Bakery in New York City. (They're our favorite.) All you have to do is leave one comment on this post before 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 15. The catch here is that the cupcakes have to be picked up from our store on Friday, May 16.

ONEiTY-Away: In Her Hands
Just in case you haven't heard (from, say, Oprah), a coffee table book called "In Her Hands" highlights women around the world who care for and feed their families on less than $1 each day. That's right, just one dollar.
At ONEiTY, much of our clothing is either crafted or embellished by women just like the superstars featured in this book. Like the Shipibo women in Peru and Ida Ayu Nyoman Sayang in Indonesia. They are our inspiration, and our raison d'etre. As such, we thought we'd handout a coffee table-appropriate version of this book for your home, to help pass along the global vision.

You can see the entire "In Her Hands" virtual exhibit and be inspired here.
If you want to win a copy of "In Her Hands" all you have to do is leave a comment on this post by 10 p.m. on Friday, May 2.

ONEiTY-Away Winner: Seed, Nurture, Harvest

We already knew ONEiTY customers are the best. But we didn't know that being the best also meant that you were so smart and intuitive. Thank you for the wonderful comments on our Seed, Nurture, Harvest giveaway.
We chose Christina, lucky number one, as our giveaway winner. She said:
"Seed, nurture, harvest turns my thoughts to my kids, since that's the stage I'm in. Right now with my 1 year old and 3 year old, I'm planting seeds of the habits and traits I hope they'll develop- responsibility, kindness, and love to name a few. As I'm raising my kids, I'll continue to nurture these seeds. Hopefully as they become adults I'll enjoy the harvest of good people, my children, surrounding me."
Christina, please send an e-mail to info@oneitygoods.com with "winner" in the subject line and we'll get that $50 Visa card on its way to you.
Thanks for reading!

Hello stylish ladies and gents. Today, we'll be asking your for more feedback. Perhaps you've heard of locals behind Hiccup, Inc. We're loving their new landing page as much as their cute and clever products for kiddos.
The question isn't whether or not ONEiTY will soon be carrying Hiccup goods. (That's a for-sure.) We're just having a little trouble deciding on which to choose. So we want you to be our buyers for a day or two. Go browse the Hiccup store, then come back and tell us which item(s) you like best.
Leave a comment on this post by 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. The winner will win a $50 gift card to Hiccup's Etsy shop!

ONEiTY-Away: Seed, Nurture, Harvest
Here at ONEiTY, we believe that good seeds flourish. That's why "seed, nurture and harvest" has become something of a modus operandi for us, as we try to give our clients an opportunity to share their harvest with others around the world. Simply by purchasing ONEiTY clothing.
But we want to know what the terms "seed, nurture and harvest" mean to you. Share your thoughts and give us your interpretation in the comments below. The person who leaves our favorite comment will get a $50 Visa card to buy some buds and blossoms for their garden.
Leave a comment on this post by 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. We'll announce the winner on Monday morning!

Easter Is In!
Hippity hop over to ONEiTY where you can get any of these sweet-as-pie Easter dresses for your little ladies. Details like scalloped collars, puffed sleeves and smocked bodices make these pieces special and timeless. We love the soft white and light lilac tones. And the blush pink and spring green piping. We know your girls will too. Just look at those bows!

And a big THANKS to all who commented on our last post. We can't wait to hand over 61-plus books to Room to Read! We know kids around the globe are going to love these, too.

ONEiTY-Away: Room to Read (Help Us Out!)
Ladies and gents, start your commenting engines. Today, we're putting a twist on our ONEiTY Away. What we need this time around is your help and all it requires is a comment from each of you. For every comment left on this blog post before Thursday at 10 p.m., ONEiTY will be donating a book to Room to Read.
Room to Read was founded by former Microsoft senior executive John Wood. He decided to shift his career upon visiting Nepal, where he found that the schools were in desperate need of resources, like reading materials. Since 2000, Room to Read has helped schools in Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Laos and South Africa by partnering with local communities to construct schools, establish libraries, provide scholarships and create computer labs.
One commenter will receive a copy of Wood's book, called "Leaving Microsoft to Change the World." But the rest of you will just be helping us to help rural communities across the globe.
Leave a comment, and we'll match it by donating a book!

ONEiTY-Away: Lily Anna For Girls
When ONEiTY spotted handmade tutus by local mom Mara Luker, we couldn't wait to get some of them in the store. Her tutu collection, called Lily Anna, is the stuff girly-girl dreams are made of. Not only are her tutus pefectly-puffy, each is made with double-satin ribbon ties to ensure quality and comfort. And we're big fans of the range of color she includes in her designs. And the polka-dots.
In honor of their arrival at the ONEiTY store, Mara has decided to offer up one tutu as this week's ONEiTY-Away. (Lucky for us, lucky for you!) If you want to get one of these cuties (a $42 value) for your little one, just leave one comment on this post 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 6.
Thanks, Lily Anna!

ONEiTY-Away: So Cupcake

ONEiTY is thrilled to welcome the newest kid on the block. We get especially excited about new neighbors that offer up sweet confections of butter and sugar. Yes puh-lease. That's why we're so excited that So Cupcake decided to set up shop in the Millcreek/Holladay area near us.
The cupcake shop, owned by Natalie Jensen, is sure to become one of our favorite hangouts. Flavors to choose from include a surprisingly un-muffin-like Studmuffin Blueberry and one that combines strawberry cake with strawberry butter cream frosting called Irrationally in Love. Our favorite might be the Hanky Panky Red Velvet. You can get cupcakes in both the "regular" and mini sizes. And you can get them to go.
Natalie is already proving her hospitality. She's getting a few to-gos ready for a few of you. For today's ONEiTY-Away, we'll be handing out a dozen cupcakes from So Cupcake to three different readers. Because you can never have too many cupcakes, we suggest you sign up. Leave just one comment on this post by 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 28. Then come back on Friday to see if you won!
Thanks, So Cupcake! You can visit the shop at www.socupcake.com and 3939 S. Highland Drive. So Cupcake is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.

ONEiTY-Away: Cashmere With Stripes

Recognize these little guys? Since someone on the ONEiTY team is expecting a new little guy of their own this week, we thought we'd give this giveaway bundle a round two.
The soft-as-silk cashmere, only available at ONEiTY's flagship store, came from Mongolia where it was processed from beginning to end. It's so snuggly you'll want to borrow it from your little one. And the shoes were made by our friends in South America.
Today we're offering up this ensemble, valued at over $100, to one ONEiTY reader. For your chance to win, leave just one comment on this post by 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 21.
Remember to check back and see if you're the lucky one!

Where is ONEiTY?

We struck the jackpot when we set foot on a street that led us to one of the most incredible flea markets you've ever seen. We wanted to box everything up and bring it home for all of you: chandeliers, paintings, dolls, antique furniture; the works. Unfortunately, we didn't quite have the resources for that.
However, we did manage to bring home a beautiful painted ceramic bracelet for whoever can guess which Renaissance city's walls this street fair took place in. Click the images to get a better look.
We'll announce the winner on Wednesday.
